MCW, a mechanical engineering consultancy, hired Cumulus to build an internal tool for its staff.

PROJECT FOCUS

USER TESTING / BUILDING

Tested early workflows with staff and used their feedback to shape the tool. I also learned Softr and Airtable while helping build it.

CLIENT OUTCOME

MCW now uses the tool across its offices

The tool helped address communication and transparency issues and made it easier for staff to move work along.

EQUIPMENT-SELECTION PLATFORM

Cumulus concept: equipment selection

Separately, I helped develop a concept for an HVAC and domestic hot water (DHW) equipment-selection platform. It was intended to help engineering teams organize technical information, compare equipment, and coordinate vendor submissions.

My contribution

I contributed to product direction, workflows, requirements, information structure, interface design in Figma, and the vendor-submission process. I also worked with Airtable and Softr.

STATUS

Concept stage only

The platform remained at concept stage because funding was limited. It was not launched.
